Harrisburg Mall Hosts “Cartwheels/Tumblers for Healthy Lungs”

March 1 event to raise money for the American Lung Association in Pennsylvania

HARRISBURG, PA (February 7, 2014) – The American Lung Association in Pennsylvania and The Harrisburg Gymnastics School will present the annual “Cartwheels/Tumbles for Healthy Lungs” at Harrisburg Mall on Saturday, March 1 between 10:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Located on Paxton Street off Exit 45 of Interstate 83, Harrisburg Mall is a one million square foot regional mall with more than 70 tenants, including anchor stores Macy’s, Bass Pro Shops, 2nd & Charles and Regal Cinema’s Great Escape Harrisburg Mall Stadium 14. Cartwheels/Tumbles for Healthy Lungs will bring out more than 90 gymnastic students to demonstrate how many cartwheels or tumbles that they can turn in 10 minutes. Entering its 34th year, the event raises more than $5,000 annually to benefit the American Lung Association in Pennsylvania and the Harrisburg Gymnastics School. The event supports the American Lung Association in its fight against asthma, chronic bronchitis, COPD, emphysema, and other lung diseases.

Located on a 61-acre parcel on Paxton Street off Exit 45 of Interstate 83, Harrisburg Mall has approximately 70 tenants, including Aeropostale, Bath and Body Works, Champs Sports, Claire’s, Express, Foot Locker, Kay Jewelers, New York and Company, Radio Shack, Victoria’s Secret and others. Free-standing Toys “R” Us and Applebee’s are also part of the tenant mix. One anchor store, previously occupied by Boscov’s until its corporate bankruptcy in 2008, remains available for lease. The Mall received a $60 million exterior and interior renovation approximately six years ago and St. John Properties and mall co-owner Petrie Ross have undertaken a wide range of improvements since they purchased the property last summer.
